Garden Design Process
Initial Contact
It is important that you employ a garden designer who you can work with comfortably. A good partnership between the client and designer is the best way of ensuring you achieve the garden you really desire.
Initial contact will often be by phone but if you live locally a face to face visit will be best. Here we can discuss your initial ideas.
Initial Visit and Consultation
Once you have selected me as your designer, I will send written confirmation and arrange a consultation with you. At this stage I will also complete the initial survey of your garden area.
Design Process
After the initial consultation and survey I will confirm all your requirements with you in a design brief.
A draft plan will be created. Further meetings will be necessary to confirm proposals and ensure that you are truly happy with the plans that are finally presented.
The Final Design Plan will then be completed.
Construction Drawings
Construction drawings for garden features can be produced where necessary.
Planting Plans
Planting plans with full written plant specifications can be produced and included as part of the overall design contract.
Implementing the design and landscaping
We can arrange for all works to be completed and the design carried out.
Project Management Service
However, you may know a landscape contractor who you want to carry out the work and build the design. In these circumstances, we would invite you to take up our project management service.
